Romantic & Relaxing
For the romantic getaway, a relaxing time away from the kids or the pressures of work or for those enjoying the excitement of Waitomo
Waitomo Bed & Breakfast
We are modelled on a small European Albergo. Our rooms are themed. The two-person bath in the Swamp room, with candles and foams, is reputed to be the biggest bath south of Auckland. Our breakfast options are varied and highly praised, and we want to get to know you. Our Inn has a homely vibe, and provides a sense of belonging.
Our Inn Location Info
We are on a small ridge, just outside the Waitomo Village. Being in the countryside brings peace and quiet. However being just 1 km from the Waitomo Cave, and the Waitomo zipline, 600 metres away from the local pub, 500 metres from the Information Centre 400 metres from the General Store and 300 metres away from the highly regarded Huhu restaurant, and Waitomo Adventures, we are close to many activities.
Part of the experience of being here will mean engaging with other guests, over breakfast, in the guest lounge, or over a few beers or wines.
“Wonderful Excellent, amazing and fantastic, those words come to mind when thinking about stay with John and Helen. They are both great hosts and on the top of it John is an excellent cook, his French toasts are mind blowing. Rooms are cute and cozy with lovely ensuite for extra comfort. Close to Waitomo Village Centre, what else do you need?”

“Abseil Inn is a fantastic place to meet amazing people! Super nice house with exceptionally curated details in each room, access to patio and great sunset view. The owners are incredible people, ironic and friendly, they cooked us a perfect breakfast (French toast and berries like never before!) It was great to share breakfast and chats with other guest at the dining table. Definitely will come back.”

“Exceeded our expectations”
“Abseil Inn hosts were delightful, provided excellent service and were a pleasure to be around. The accommodation was exactly as described/advertised and, in reality, was exceptional. We will definitely recommend this property, thank you! If I could miniaturize this property, I would pocket it and then enlarge it again to re-use it at other NZ tourist destinations.”
