We have four individually themed rooms aimed at relaxation and romance. All rooms have queen sized beds and individual en-suites.

The Bush Room
This room overlooks the stunning Waitomo Caves landscape. It features a magnificent canopy over the bed, delicious colours of coffee, caramel and allspice. It has pine furniture and is adorned with paintings by NZ landscape artists and 19th Century NZ etchings. Tales are told that the artist got so bored with producing etchings for colonists to send to England that he started hiding kiwis and imps in the etchings. There is nothing like looking for imps at the end of the evening.

The Cave Room
This slightly smaller room is dramatically draped in shades of black and cream with a black canopy over the bed. Sensually tactile with metallic wall sculptures. The shaggy bed covering is the next best thing to cuddling with a mammoth. Impossible to keep your hands off. Choose this room carefully. Guests either strongly like or dislike this room.

The Farm Room
Views looking out over the Waitomo Valley and to our dell area. Traditional and wholesome décor (patchwork quilts by Helen and local artists) features Kauri furniture.

The Swamp Room
This room has a two-person bath (plus foams and candles). A beautiful, romantic canopy, décor shades of green and wall hangings by local artists. Recycled rimu furniture.

Abseil Inn
Guest Areas
The lounge is there for your enjoyment. The tv has chromecast, if you want to watch an important game and you have the appropriate app. There is a range of dvds to watch. We also have a large selection of books about New Zealand, especially walks and nature, to read (including some great NZ cartoons).
Tea and coffee making facilities are in the lounge. Feel free to take a cup back to your room if you wish to relax with your feet up before going out to dinner or early in the morning. The tea selection includes a large range of herbal teas.
The lounge has an honesty fridge system for those wanting a beer or soft drink. We also sell wine by the bottle.
You can store your own beer, wine, and food items in the fridge.
Plates and cutlery are available for those who have brought their own food or takeaways.
There is a barbeque in the courtyard. Meat should be procured in Otorohanga on your way here.
There is a dell at the end of the ridge, just beyond the barbeque. A place of quiet contemplation for two to four people.
